Why I Created My Own Anchor Pieces

Why I Created My Own Anchor Pieces

Long before The Love Weekends became a shop, the pieces were simply something I created for myself.

I’ve always loved the idea that something we wear can be more than just clothing.

A few words can bring us back to a thought.
A sentence can remind us of a promise we made to ourselves.
And sometimes, we simply need something that says: Remember.

That’s what my Anchor Pieces became for me.

They were created during my own ongoing journey of self-love, healing and becoming more intentional about the person I want to be and the life I want to create.

Some days, I need a reminder to trust myself.

Some days, I need to remember where I’m going.

And some days, apparently, I need a shirt that very clearly tells me:

No excuses. Sit down. 😂

Because knowing that meditation is good for me and actually sitting down to meditate are, unfortunately, two entirely different things.

Over time, these little reminders became part of my everyday life.

Not because a piece of clothing can change your life.

But because a thought can.

And if something I wear brings me back to that thought at exactly the right moment, then to me, it has meaning.

That’s why I call them Anchor Pieces.

They anchor me back to something I don’t want to forget.

And eventually I started wondering whether the reminders I had created for myself might become someone else’s reminders, too.

Maybe someone somewhere needs the exact same words on the exact same day.

And I think that was the moment The Love Weekends stopped being something I was creating only for myself.

It became something I wanted to share.

Maybe you’ll find your own little anchor here, too. 🤍

With love,
Sandra 🤍
